How I work

Not a one-time plan.

Someone on your side, every quarter, for years.

A plan is written once. Life keeps moving: markets fall, a bonus lands, stock vests, a university sends its first fee notice. So the work doesn't stop at the plan. It repeats every quarter, for as long as you're a client.

The check-up and the plan lead into a quarterly review that repeats: where you stand, what changed, are you on track, what to do now. Once a year, a deeper review. The check-upfirst three monthsThe planWhere you standWhatchangedAre you on trackWhat todo nowEvery quarterSummary in writingwithin two working daysOnce a year: a deeper reviewThe check-up and the plan lead into a quarterly review that repeats: where you stand, what changed, are you on track, what to do now. The check-up · first three months

Everything your family owns and owes, in one picture.

  • Every investment, in India and abroad, reviewed: how it is actually doing.
  • Your goals and commitments, costed: retirement, children's education (including abroad), home, loans, family.
  • Your insurance: whether the family is covered enough.
  • Your risk profile, talked through and agreed with you in writing.

If your children will study abroad

That bill will be paid in dollars or pounds. Part of the check-up is working out how much of the family's money should sit abroad, and when, so the money matches the currency of the goal.

The plan

What to change, in what order, with tax in mind.

  • Your investment plan, and the exact steps to get your portfolio there.
  • Help while you carry it out. You decide and you act, in your own accounts. I never hold your money or securities.

Every quarter

A review with you (and your spouse), on a video call.

Your quarterly review Agenda

  1. Where you stand

How your portfolio has done, measured against your goals, not just the market.

  2. What changed

In markets, in the economy and in your life, and what it means for your plan.

  3. Are you on track

Progress on each goal, and any gap to close.

  4. What to do now

Rebalancing, tax-saving moves and new money, with exact steps.

  5. In writing

A short summary of decisions and next steps within two working days.

Once a year, a deeper review of your goals, your risk profile and the whole plan.

Through the year

Your money calendar, tracked for you.

The dates that move family money, in one place.

  • April: new overseas-remittance year
  • June, September, December and March: advance tax
  • March: tax-loss harvest

Your family's financial record

Before we talk

Is this a fit?

This works well if you

  • want one person to see the whole family picture
  • are happy to make the moves yourself, with exact steps from me
  • think in years, not months

It's probably not for you if you want

  • stock tips
  • someone to place trades for you
  • a promise of returns. No registered adviser is allowed to give one.

What I don't do

So you know exactly where the line is.

  • Hold your money or securities, or place trades for you.
  • Sell any financial product or earn commissions.
  • File income-tax returns or give legal advice.
  • Promise or guarantee returns.

Questions

Common questions

Do I have to move my investments?

No. You keep your existing accounts and act in them yourself. I give you exact steps.

Who holds my money?

You do, in your own accounts. I never hold your money or securities, or ask for your trading, demat or bank login details.

Can you look at investments abroad and company stock?

Yes. The check-up covers investments in India and abroad, and your money calendar tracks vesting dates and buyback windows. Some assets in a family plan, such as investments held abroad, are not regulated by SEBI. What that means for you.

My spouse and I both work. Is that two fees?

No. One fee per family: you, your spouse, dependent children and dependent parents.

Do you work with my CA?

Yes, through your annual tax pack (capital gains and foreign-assets data), ready for you or your CA. I don't file returns.

What happens on the introductory call?

You tell me what's on your mind; I explain how I work and what it would cost. No advice is given on this call. Advice starts only after we sign an agreement and agree your risk profile.
